About Me

Hey, I’m Makayla! I’m a photographer based in Calgary, AB, and nothing makes me happier than capturing the moments that mean the most to you. Whether it’s a family portrait session, an engagement, or your wedding day, I love creating images that feel honest, joyful, and true to who you are. These are the memories you’ll look back on for years, and it’s an honour to be the one behind the camera for them.

Alongside my work with couples and families, I’ve also had the chance to collaborate with small brands such as Bronc Beer, Stronger Than Yesterday Personal Training, Yummy Co. Retro Candy Shop, RYB Creative, and more. I’ve always loved helping passionate business owners bring their vision to life through thoughtful, creative imagery.

When I’m not photographing people or brands, you can usually find me roaming the Rockies with my fiancé and our two dogs—chasing sunrises, hiking, dipping into glacier lakes, and searching for wildlife. Wildlife photography has become one of my favourite things to do in my spare time, a way for me to slow down and reconnect with the world around me.
